File Management

Standards:

8.1. All students will use digital tools to access, manage, evaluate, and synthesize information in order to solve problems individually and collaboratively to create and communicate knowledge.

Objectives:Students will be able to:

1. Access a network drive
2. Create and rename a folder
3. Save and locate a file on a network share.
4. Rename a File
5. Recognize a File Type? (File extension) ex: .doc, .txt, .xls, .mdb, .html
6. Move a file
7. Search for a File
8. Understand network vs. local client and server/client relationship

Possible Projects and Activities and Assessments

1. Teacher developed activity to complete steps 1-8.
2. Quiz
3. On going assessment as part of project rubrics.

Resources:
1. Create a file structure diagram to distribute to students.
